What Is STEM?
STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.STEM is a growing movement in education.STEM-based learning programs are intended to increase students' interest in pursuing higher education and careers in those fields.
In a world that is quickly evolving and inclined towards technology, STEM-based learning programs are intended to increase students' interest in pursuing higher education and careers in those fields.STEM skills would be of great economic impact. At a crucial stage when Indian government is promoting initiatives such as Make in India, Skill India, digital India to encourage manufacturing, technology usage and skill development in the country, STEM is turning out to be an essential and integral component of our education.

Why STEM?
The ultimate goal of STEM education is to encourage students to take an interest in STEM subjects at an early age. This should be beneficial to them when they enter the jobs market, and in turn it should benefit the greater economy.
Many robotics labs, workshops, competitive events, teachers' training, summer trainings in schools are established to popularize stem education.
Motivate students to most exciting sides of STEM education through:
IOT: The Internet of things is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity which enables these objects to connect and exchange data.
Robotics: Robotics deals with the design, construction, operation, and use of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing.
Aero modeling: Aero-modelling is the activity involving design, development and flying of small air vehicles. It is a very exciting and interesting way to learn, apply and understand science and engineering principles. Aero-modelling generally involves small sized flying objects like Fixed Wing, Flying-wing, Gliders.
3D printing: Also known as additive manufacturing . It turns digital 3D models into solid objects by building them up in layers.
Virtual reality Virtual reality is the term used to describe a three-dimensional, computer generated environment which can be explored and interacted with by a person.
Atal tinkering labs: ATL is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode; and learn innovation skills. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM
